• Servings of Fruits, Vegetables and Dairy

     Following a normal healthy diet, you should make sure to take:

    - 2 to 3 servings of vegetables,
    - 1 to 2 servings of fruits,
    And,
    - 1 to 2 servings of dairy(milk, yogurt, cheese etc) per day.

    Remember that the serving size for fruits and vegetables is about 4 to 6 ounces. It can vary depending upon the size of fruit/vegetable.

    FRUIT SERVING; A standard serving of fruit is about 150g (350kJ).

    VEGETABLE SERVING; A standard serving of vegetable is about 75g (100–350kJ) or: ½ cup cooked green or orange vegetables.

    DAIRY SERVING: A serving of dairy equivalent to a
    - 1 cup serving is 1 cup of skim or 1% milk, yogurt or fortified soy milk;
    - 1.5 ounces natural cheese or 2 ounces processed cheese.
